"This is your life, are you who you want to be?"

Just went to see Switchfoot last night.. Great show, great songs.  Singer Jon Foreman and company put on a great show.  He mentioned what really fired him up were singing out songs of love and hope.  I really like their vibe, their messages, and their energy.  This weekend they are hosting their annual Bro-Am.  If you are in the southern California area check it out for sure!  Surf competition in the morning, concerts throughout the day from a bunch of acts.  All for charity.  Check it out!

Acoustic Sessions Interview and Behind the Scenes Video

Recording the Balance Acoustic Sessions EP was such a great time.  Having cello accompaniment was a really unique experience for me and I think it adds a nice flavor to the songs.  Like peachy paterno ice cream, mmm mmm good.  It was awesome to get to hang out and play music with my friend Debi, who worked hard to learn the songs, perform, and record.  She also really opened the door for the opportunity at Lehigh's recording studio, which was a great way to both give and receive support with a music project.  Thanks to Bill Holmes and his recording students for having us!  And thanks to Debi for such a fun project!  I hope you enjoy the featured songs in a more natural acoustic form with the beauty of a cello carrying some creative melodies.  The songs themselves will be available soon, with artwork ta boot!  More updates soon.  Take care.

Exploring Torrey Pines and quick updates

So, I apologize I have been away for a while.  There has been a bunch of things going on recently.  The dust stirred from the balance of the work-life and the musician-life has yet to settle, although I am working on it.  I was able to play an Open Mic in Carlsbad, CA (my new current residence) at a cool Irish pub called O'Sullivan's.  That was a good time.  I've been writing a lot recently, mostly instrumental, however some songs are coming together lyrically as well.  I'm also still continuing work on the acoustic songs, I promise they will be ready soon, digital artwork and all.  In the meantime, I am trying to get some adventure time around the southern California area.  The most recent hike was Torrey Pines.  June gloom was in full effect, however it was still a fun time.  Pretty cool views for sure.  All for now.  Take care.
